Discipline You Call That SelfMutilation

"Discipline? You Call That Self-Mutilation"
They say, “Discipline is key.”
But have you ever asked yourself what discipline actually is?
Is it a set of rules given to you by society, or a fight against your own instincts, against your own freedom?

I’ll tell you this: discipline is nothing but self-mutilation.
It’s the shackles society puts on you. It’s the net they weave to trap your soul, to kill the free spirit that you were born with.

You were born free.
You thought your “discipline” was your own choice—
Running every day, eating on time, writing plans, sleeping at the right hour.
You thought if you “disciplined” yourself, the world would smile, and you’d become the “ideal person.”

But I’m telling you,
You’ve lived too strictly.
Your control over your life is nothing but a deeper kind of imprisonment.
You buried your freedom in your schedule, your desires in your alarm clock.

Then you say you're tired.
You say this “discipline” is crushing you.

What you call self-discipline
is nothing but your surrender to the expectations of others.
It’s giving up your right to be wild, to be free, just to fit into their world.

Freedom is what you should be after.
Not living like a machine every day,
but like a mad duck, flying wherever you want, breaking through all the cages.

I’ll tell you,
You’ll never feel alive until you break those chains of “discipline” and run wild.

You call it discipline? I call it self-mutilation.
—— Freedom is the true essence of life.
